Geese Management around Water Supplies - Benton Utilities has recently instituted an aggressive geese management plan to both protect and preserve our water supply and sources. The current practices being utilized include the use of pyrotechnics in an effort to relocate them to a less disturbed environment.

Benton Utilities would encourage anyone who encounters them to not feed them. The primary areas of concern seem to be the Brownwood Subdivision, Lakeview Subdivision, Hurricane Lake area and Sunset Lake area at this time. If they loose their food source, they will be discouraged from nesting near our water supplies and hopefully relocate. This is an ongoing problem not for just Benton Utilities but other water suppliers in America.
