Benton Utilities continues to monitor our distribution system as a result of the work being performed to the bulk electric transmission grid.  Our transmission provider has indicated a possible return-to-service for our Alcoa substation at approximately 19:00 this evening.  If/when this goal is achieved, Benton Utilities will begin switching operations to return our distribution circuits to their normal loads.

Benton Fire Dept. is currently in the process of doing their bi-annual fire hydrant testing to make sure the hydrants are fully operational in the event of an emergency.  Customers in the area where they are testing may notice what appears to be cloudy water when they are finished. If you do, please let your cold water run approx. 3-4 minutes, and it should clear right up.

2/25 09:30a.m. water update - At this time, we are please to announce the lifting of the conservation request.  It will continue to help us if we follow the previous time periods for heavy use, but we're glad to say that we are back to normal operating capacity.  We continue to have leaks but they will have isolated effects and not system-wide effects.  We offer our SINCERE appreciation for all of you, and please let us know if your water service is not back to "normal".  Boil Order is still in affect.  Thank you, all, so much!
